Position: Distribution Team Lead
Reports to: Warehouse/Distribution Manager
Location: Finglas, Dublin 11 & Santry, Dublin 9
Duties & Responsibilities
Leading a team operatives
Responsible for overseeing picking packing orders.
Daily dealings with distributors/customers/couriers.
Interdepartmental communications daily to ensure a smooth running of procedures. (emails phone call and meetings )
Be a leader and champion of everything Health and Safety
Monitoring the use of PPE for staff
Ensuring goods in/good out team are maintaining schedule and quality.
Carry out daily and weekly checks as required.
Reviewing and checking daily orders.
Ensuring deliveries are processed in a timely and organised manner.
Reporting delivery discrepancies & incorrect deliveries to relevant personnel.
Ensure housekeeping is kept to the hights standard.
Liaise with customers at trade counter, providing an exceptional customer experience.
Liaise with Warehouse/Distribution Manager on Distribution reporting/measurements/KPIs etc
Updating and maintain the Distribution daily Planner.
Ensure that customer waiting area is kept in order and stocked at all times.
Provide training to new staff alongside Warehouse/Distribution Manager.
Always striving to improve processes and procedures.
Liaise with Quality and Health & Safety Team on any deviations/complaints and actioning/issuing corrections in a timely manner.
Keeping quality at forefront of all tasks, motivated for a ‘right first time’ mindset.
Continuous support of a positive working culture and environment.
Any other duties required by management.
Skills
Have excellent attention to detail.
Experience leading a team in a fast moving Distribution environment
Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills essential
Able to work as part of a team or individually.
5 years Knowledge of working in Warehouse/Distribution environment
Good time management.
Positive attitude.
Working knowledge of multiple Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Experience using Microsoft office with particular emphasis on Excel.
Counterbalance/Reach forklift License.
Good knowledge of Health and Safety
Customer service focused
Experience in conflict resolution
Has a good understanding and the experience how important Quality is
